Edward Chao, D.O.
Dr. Chao earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center and fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. Dr. Chao is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Chao is a board-certified internist with the VA San Diego Medical Center’s Mission Valley Clinic and serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He actively participates in our studies: assisting the principal investigators by overseeing and conducting study procedures, performing physical examinations, providing diabetes education and assisting in recruitment efforts.
