Internships
Internships
The ability to gain practical experience in a variety of public health settings and organizations in the community represents a valuable complement to formal classroom training for students. Each Program or School typically has at least one person who is responsible for identifying potential placements and matching students with preceptors. While internships are often solicited by specific schools for their own students, some internships remain unfilled because suitable matches are not made. Similarly, some potential internship positions are not advertised because organizations may not be aware of the best way of soliciting students, or no relationships exist between the organization and universities.
